Some of you know this, but some of you don’t so I’ll tell the story again. I’ve been working on offline marketing (aka marketing to small businesses) for a little while now, under my site: Target Local.

Marketing to Small business is both easy and hard all at the same time – takes this from somebody who knows. Ranking is rather easy, quite frankly. Generally for local searches you are competing against 5-10 backlinks, where any effort at all can get you to the top 3.

As an example, it took me about 3 days to get #1 for the term “guelph house painter”, do a search and you’ll see www.guelphlocal.ca/guelph-housepainter/ is #1 below the maps for this word.

So that’s all well in good you say, what’s the hard part then? The hard part I’ve found is actually getting in touch with the small businesses. In a lot of cases the people that you need to talk to are protected, either by wives or Secretaries, or have to “talk to their partners”

Let me tell you this can be very frustrating. What else is frustrating is that you are dealing with people that know pretty much nothing about the Internet. This is good and bad. The good part is that you know more then them, and you know they need you. But the bad part is they don’t know they need you.

This program is all about free traffic, which is something I know a great deal about and fully support. Now having said that I’m not sure I’d pay that high of a price for the info. The reason is most of the info you need to know — you already know.

Deiss is a “guru” – which is either a good thing to you, or a bad thing. I’ll leave that open to your interpretation.

Let’s look at what’s been given out free so far:

1) The Perpetual Traffic Free Report — pretty good and promotes something that I truly believe. You need a 3-prong approach for success. First you need great on page, then you need a nice link base, and then you need what I term “excitement” links, or as Ryan will say – action/traffic.

2) Cherry Picker Software – A pretty sad effort in my opinion. Maybe I’m biased as I have my own Keyword Attack software coming out soon (can you eyes open for it), but it’s rather basic and boring. If you have Market Samurai already installed, save your effort.

3) Authority Codes Report — Nothing new here really. If you didn’t know that you could type in .edu in google with some special codes than maybe this will enlighten you.

So so far I’m less than impressed with the free content .. now whether that means that the paid offering will be any better I don’t know. Ryan does usually deliver some nice value for the money he’ll charge, but in my opinion it’s not off to a good start.

And lastly this isn’t just for “making money online” markets .. it’s for every niche

If you come to my blog lately you’ll notice that I’ve held off on promoting some of the affiliate offers out there lately.. and frankly I’m seeing a bit of a disturbing trend. People are lying in their salesletters. Now even the person that has been around the scene for atleast a little bit are used to “hype” and unfortunately most times the sizzle is more than the steak. Or in some of the more well meaning situation, the creators at least had high hopes but failed on execution (here’s looking at you CB Predator)

But what I’m seeing lately is newbie launches where people are simply repackaging the same idea, totally inflating the salesletter and selling old ideas. Now when I say old ideas, I don’t mean from 2 years ago – these may actually be helpful. I mean old as in something I just read in another package 2 weeks ago.

Let’s put it to the test… Have you seen a PPV (or “Media Buy”) product lately? How about a CPA system? How about a “Loophole” product? Yeah I thought so.. they are over the place. And guess what? Most of them are all the same.

But what got me today was something else… I got an email from a “guru” about a traffic system that I’d never heard of before that was very controversial, and that he’d give me money if I had.. Wow that sounded interesting. Well guess what? It wasn’t all that interesting. In fact chances are if you’ve ever bought an aged domain, and built a blog and maybe got people to pay you to put links or your site or for a post — then yeah maybe you’ve heard of it before.

I honestly couldn’t believe it… and the scary part is that this came from a pretty well known marketer – somebody that I’ve bought items from before, but I couldn’t believe the hype of this “never heard of before” angle.. it was nothing more than a lie.. yeah that’s harsh but I really don’t care it’s the truth.

Now I’m leaving out the product and the name of the person, because this really isn’t a specific knock on this person or product, but rather a general trend in the industry lately. I honestly think it has to do with the fact that alot of these new marketers are doing 1 of 2 things.

1) They are buying PLR Internet Marketing products, with re-sale rights. So say 4000 people buy the same product as you, and maybe 2% act on it  — that’s a lot of the same product out there, all in different packages.

2) They are using ghost writers or “freelancers”. This one is more open to copycats, because guess where ghost writers and freelancers get their info? Yeah you got it — From the Internet for free, the same place you can.

So my point in all this is this — be very careful what you buy and make sure you get a refund if it doesn’t live up to you thought it would be. If it *does* live up to the hype, then remember the person that did it and follow them closely, because there are really good product/software creators out there (Jon Leger for example). But for the love of Pete, make sure you can afford whatever it is that you “think” you need…

Well … here’s a surprise, I can’t give you a real review on this product, because I decided to spend this holiday weekend with my family (it’s a holiday in Canada this weekend) .. so I can’t give you a real review for it …

Christian isn’t some guy that’s hiding behind ghost writers or outsource his product. He is in the thick of advertising on alternate markets – and he makes a lot of money doing it.

This module is all about social media. The guys provide a very indepth grasp on everything you need to use social media, and also how to use it effectively for your business.

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly….

While the turbo traffic system isn’t much different than other things out there, there is a ton of info available in easy to digest chunks of video. The goals of the system are rather genuine – long term success.  This is refreshing I think as most systems make you think that you can easily make money overnight and crash into the google rankings with little work. Well guess what – it’s not that easy. Duh.. The Turbo Traffic System, ironically isn’t really about turbo, it’s more of a Turtle Traffic System. And I’m not saying this in a negative fashion. This is the way to make money online – slow and steady.

One thing they do really well is the use a unique 30 Q system in each and every thing they do. Now while the concept isn’t unique, applying this throughout their entire traffic system is a very good idea and it’s well developed.

I’m also a person that doesn’t like confusing and information overload (heck I was a Stompernet member, so I know Information overload!) .. and TTS excels here. This system is simple and easy to use and won’t take up a lot of your time before you can implement it.

The only downside for me in this program is that it’s not really for advanced users at all, it’s strictly at the beginner and intermediate users – so if you are a user that’s just starting out and are looking for a solid system then this is a good one to start with. The only costs outside of the system will be for a domain and hosting. There are multiple opportunities in the system, where you can purchase shortcuts by outsourcing with them directly – but they are optional and if you have the time you don’t need to do them.

The bottom line is the Turbo Traffic System is a very well presented solid framework system that you can use to build a web business over the long term.
