Well, it’s official – the long standing “backlink checker” in the SEO world has
gone the way of Yahoo’s other staple service: Overture. More here

So what now?

How can we quickly evaluate our competitor’s backlinks, figure out who the
“players” are – and in general get a picture of what we’re up against when
evaluating our SEO competition?

Are we relegated to using expensive private data – or worse – Google’s highly
purposely-limited backlink lookup?

Luckily – as of now – the answer is no. We’re not

Check this out:
>>> SEOAttack.org

At SEOAttack.org for free you can research your competition (or your own site) in a quick
and simple manner. Everything you need to know about your keyword targets and
your competition is now in your face and at your fingertips.

—> Side Note Before We Get Started on the Features:
Page Juice Power is a custom algorithm developed by Attack Suite,
that goes way beyond Google PR to measure the power of a page (and the amount of
link juice a link will give you). It calculates a large number of factors, including
Cache Date, Social mentions, Pumper Backlinks and spits out an easy to understand
0 – 100 quality score. It can’t be any easier to understand!

Here’s are just some of the features:

“Site Explore” – Just enter in a URL, and you’ll be presented all the top pages
connected to that page (from the same domain) all sorted by Page Juice Power!

“View Backlinks” – Just enter in a URL (or choose one from the Site Explore module)
and you’ll instantly be viewing all the top pages linking to to that page – sorted
by Page Juice Power! This is an easy way to know where to get started with your
link building. Don’t waste time guessing – work on the top links first!

“Anchor Text” – Just enter in a URL (or choose one from the other modules)
and you’ll instantly be viewing the anchor text used in all the links pointing
to any that page, along with Link Quality! This will allow you to easily see what
keywords your competition are targeting – and what you may be missing.

“Keyword Search” – Just enter in a keyword you wish to rank for and you’ll be
given insight like never before. Use the SEOAttack ranking difficulty score to
determine how hard that keyword will be to rank for in Google. Plus you’ll be able
to easily view the competing pages (with Page Juice Power) and the software will
also help you spot opportunities for that keyword with Video, News, etc.

>>> SEOAttack.org

If you do any Internet marketing at all, then you won’t want to miss taking this
tool for a test drive!

It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed a product in the Internet Marketing space .. and honestly I wasn’t planning this review either. Believe it or not I actually paid for this product this morning. It wasn’t a free copy, or review copy, it was a complete purchase – with the Silver Bullet guys as my affiliate referral. So yeah this is an honest look at it.

Mass Profit Formula promises a “different” kind of software that will allow you make money in 84 seconds.. honestly it was intriguing enough for me to buy it.

Note: There are a number of upsells that will enhance (perhaps) the results of the Mass Profit Formula system, I did not buy any of them.. but they are tempting.

So what is Mass Profit Formula really?

The base purchase includes: 6 video training modules and 2 pieces of software. (Note: There is a “free bonus” offer that will allow you get your affiliate sites setup for you).

The breakdown of the Mass Profit Formula is pretty simple and you’ve seen it before:

1 – Find an Affiliate product

2 – Setup a domain and website related to the product keywords

3 – Get SEO’d free traffic to the site.

ok .. nothing earth shattering there, right. So why am I recommending you buy this product?

The Software is friggin’ cool. The 2 pieces of software will search Plimus and Clickbank and depending on your settings (talked about in the training), it will laser target great products to promote.

The unknown/little talked about fact about Affiliate marketing is that there are WAY to many products to promote .. and only a few winners. So the Mass Profit Formula software attempts – rather well – to cut through the crap and find you strong money makers that not only make money for other affiliates, but it will also show you how many other people are promoting, number of you tube videos for the product, and also how much competition there is in google in order to rank for the item. They also provide a pretty neat tip to find a product related domain name.

Now it’s not all roses either… personally the order process was a bit overwhelming with numerous upsells and downsells, and I would have like some down loadable website templates, rather than having to sign up on another site to receive them.

But the fact remains that the software is worth the purchase of Mass Profit Formula. I’d say give it a try if you are into affiliate marketing at all – if it doesn’t work for you, get a refund.

Checkout Mass Profit Formula Now!

As a bonus to my visitors, if you buy Mass Profit Formula using this link, I’ll give you free 3 months access to my Page Juice Calculator. This is really going to help you with your SEO rankings for your affiliate sites.

Once you purchase the item, just email bonus@shaunguido.com with your receipt and we’ll give you access to the PJC.

If you’ve being in the SEO game (or profession, depending on your perception), then you know the one thing that matters the most in gaining in the SERPs are links. All things being equal the page with the most links win.

However, obviously all links are not created equal. Getting a link from apple.com holds more value (in SEO terms) than getting a link from somesite.com/13/startpage/eraty.php ..

How do we know this? Well Google told us so. Back in 1998 the Pagerank algorithm was created to basically “rank pages” so that Google could determine what sites were important and what sites aren’t. The Google PR bar then became a standard goto for SEO’s to determine the strength of a page.

The problems with Google PR

When the PR toolbar first started to appear it became the first real insight given by Google to end users letting us know how they rank sites. However over time this has become more and more useless for a number of reasons:

1) The toolbar ranking is old

It’s common knowledge that the ranking shown in the toolbar is most likely only updated about every 3 -6 months, while the actual PR google uses is updated daily and maybe more often

2) Sites can fake PR.

It’s becoming harder to fake PR if you put it through a real checker, but it still happens all the time. (Note: Google is not being faked, the end user is)

3) PR has a small sale.

PR has a scale of 0 – 1, which is ok for comparing 2 or 3 sites .. but say you have 25 sites that are all a PR2 .. you have no idea within those 25 which ones are more powerful than the others. And don’t be fooled, because all of the PR2 sites are indeed NOT equal in passing you quality link juice.

4) PR doesn’t give a good idea of future value

PR is more a sign of age than it is of power. There could be an article posted last week at a good quality site that sparks a huge viral spread. But if you look at it’s PR .. chances are it’s either 0 or N/A (not available). That’s because it takes time to build PR in the toolbar display.

5) PR isn’t the only ranking factor

Google changes it’s algorithm all the time. And we know that PR simply isn’t the only factor that matters. We know for a fact that social exposure matters, more and more every day.

6) Google holds the keys to the PR gold

PR is protected … and Google doesn’t let you know what they don’t want you know.. that’s a problem for webmasters.

So how do we as Internet Marketers fix this to our advantage?

We create a new system/algorithm that contains *all* of the known factors that help push link power to your site from another site. This system must be modular and be able to change over time as ranking factors change. More importantly the system must make it easy to separate sites based on ranking power and not as closed as things like “PR2″ etc.

So today we introduce the:

Our page juice calculator allows you to:

Analyze a large number of URLs in a very short period of time

>>> The PJC allows you to quickly analyzes many urls at once to easily spot the best targets – FAST.

Easily spot the best URLS for your links with our (0-100) scale

>>> The variance of scoring allows you to easily sort these urls by the best ones to target today, and what to put off the list

Easily sort by 20+ different variables.

>>> Every variable in the algorithm has a different weight when it comes to the final score, but our system will allow you to sort by *any* variable you want.

Easily compare data for: Juicy Links, All Links, seoMoz rankings, PageRank

>>> PR is still important and it is part of our system, we also weight the values of Followed and Non-Followed links, and we use an authority information site seoMoz as part of system.

Quickly spot important rank info: Outlinks, No Follow, Google Cache Date, Top 10 serps

>>> If you for example want to sort by cache date to get your sites indexed fast, it’s quick and easy!

Isolate social factors like Delicious bookmarks, Twitter Mentions and Facebook Likes

>>> The web is moving more social and so is the juice pushing power.

Quickly spot the domain base power with PR, DMOZ and seoMoz link data

>>> The base domain power is a great indicator in the potential of the pages future power.

So what’s the cost of this thing?

Right now we are sticking to a beta price of just $27 a month.

Why a monthly fee and not a one time cost? Simple really. This software is web based and just beginning, it will always be evolving. As a member you are always guaranteed to be running the latest version. We are also planning a large number of secret additions to enhance the software and also, provide you with some custom link sources that are already top ranked.

You are free to cancel (and re-join) at any time .. no hassles.

If you aren’t sure if this is for you not – we are offering a totally free demo which allows you to take a closer look at the system, for just the cost of your email address.

Whew! Thanks for putting up with this long explanation .. and get out there and try out our software solution and let it help your business.

Check it out now: http://www.pagejuicecalculator.com/

I happened across something yesterday that was so brilliant because of it’s simplicity, I felt the need to share it.

While watching Andy Jenkins’ BOSS webcast for a couple mins, he had Frank Kern and Trey Smith on. I’m sure most of you know them, if not you may be in the wrong business.

Some attendee asked Frank, how do you make money online?

Now mind you Kerns made millions online, but here was his answer:

“create an offer, send paid traffic to it”
“tweak it”
“send more paid traffic”
“if you make more in sales then you spend in traffic, you win”

Folks it doesn’t come more straight forward than that.

Remember those sentences when you are trying to sell *anything* online.

Then once you have a winner verified by paid traffic – Google, Facebook, etc – expand into free traffic with SEO and explore potential joint ventures.

SEO can be a long process, so make sure you have a winner FIRST, most people – myself included at times, work in reverse.

SEO may be cheaper initially in $$, but it’s very costly in terms of wasted time if you are wrong.

It’s indeed been a rather long time since I’ve posted here or mailed my list. I’m sure some of you are wondering where the heck I’ve been and what I’ve been doing. Just as I’m sure some of you – don’t care either way …

I’ve spent the last while concentrating on my e-commerce businesses and making sure they are up to snuff and actively being promoted by my staff of outsourcers. This hasn’t really been a smooth process, with some more hits and misses with oDesk. Not that it’s oDesk’s fault, but rather sometimes it’s just hard to find good people to do simple tasks.

Once that was tied up, I decided to make a strategic change in my business and now I’m going to concentrate on providing solutions to Internet Marketers (read: those of you reading this) in the form of software solutions. Giving my active background in Internet Marketing, I’ve come to realize that there are very few good software solutions – think the best spinner - and more stuff sold by “gurus” that have never coded a day in their life. Or gurus that outsource everything, including the research, because they don’t live and die with this stuff “in reality”.

That’s right folks, most of the stuff you buy is made by people that don’t actually live and breathe this stuff everyday. People selling SEO products, don’t do SEO .. they make their money by doing joint ventures. Same with PPC, Facebook, etc .. the list is long. I won’t get off on that rant again, because I’ve shouted about it many times on my blog.

So what makes my stuff “solutions” and not “products”? Pretty simple I believe. I actually use my tools on a daily basis and I use them effectively. I believe in creating tools that not only serve a purpose (to help you make money), but also leave you no doubt about what direction to take next.

I’ve always admired a guy like Jonathan Leger for a couple of reasons. One – his products work, two – his products are simple and three – they provide solutions that you can act on.

A good example I can give, that goes the other way, is with another popular item in the IM world – Market Samurai. While MS is a good piece of software, I use it rarely .. the main reason is, while it does provide some nice information, it often leaves me with a “well now what do I do?” feeling. Research products are nice and all – but without an obvious next step they are pretty much useless.

My new company, Attack Suite, aims to make things different. In the next day or so I’ll break down our first product release, the Page Juice Calculator – which aims to replace Google PageRank as a real world page strength comparison tool.

If any of you follow Chris Rempel, and are a member of Actually Rank, you are already reaping the rewards of my PJC software.

If you don’t – hold tight, tomorrow the doors will be open exclusive to my subscribers for a beta run at my new solution! [or you can cheat and simply navigate to the AS link above ]

I’ll admit it .. I never think I know enough either. Every week there is a new (and sometimes more than 1) item that arrives on the Internet Marketing scene that aims to solve all your money problems for the rest of your life.

These guys are great at 4 things .. 1 is making money for themselves and 2 is writing good sales-letters and 3 is copying other’s stuff and 4 is TAKING action.

So before you think you need to buy something else to make your business better – STOP. Look in the mirror and say “Is this really going to help MY BUSINESS — or am I buying this because it’s going to HELP ME”

Yes it will help you .. emotionally, but not financially. Buying the next biggest “thing” or “hope” will get you through the day happy. The problem is tomorrow will be a bad day.

Tomorrow comes the regret of the purchase, and then your realization that you have not advanced your business at all. My friend it’s time to get off the hamster wheel, and decide whether you want to be IN the marketing funnel, or HAVE the marketing funnel.

“I hope this program works, because all I know is that I’ve spent 25K on Internet Marketing programs and I’ve yet to break the $100 a month barrier”

I saw this quote as a Facebook comment on yet another Internet Marketing program a few weeks back and it really shook me up. It shook me up, because this guy is a sucker. He’s not an entrepreneur — he’s a consumer, and until he realizes that he’ll never make more than $100 .. and frankly I’m surprised he made that much.

Here is what an entrepreneur would do with 25K …
Option 1) Buy 1 operating mega site with 25k that’s making $3-5k a month profit ALREADY.
Option 2) Buy 5 operating semi-large sites (5k each) that are making $1k a month in profits ALREADY.
Option 3) Buy 10 operating niche sites (1k each) that are making $500 a month in profits ALREADY.
or
Option 4) Buy every Internet Marketing course for 3 months to learn how to make money online and then do everything myself from scratch for what I’ve learned.

Do you see the difference? One builds your business .. the other just builds frustration and debt.

So let’s try and keep this short as I’ve covered this immensely before. You won’t get rich buying Daniel Tans SEO Business in a Box, or Trey Smith’s Software System or whatever shit Ryan Deiss is peddling this month…

Instead you will build a business by doing something that actually helps your business.

Outsource, Outsource, Outsource .. that’s all I’m hearing these days. Ok .. I agree with the concept, I have more work needed than I have time for. But it comes down to – where can I find good, preferably cheap, workers that can do the job I need in a timely manner.

I’ve been through John Reese’s Outsource Force and I’m currently a member in John Jonas’s Replace Myself Program .. so I know the Philippines the really the only place to find these type of users.

Now maybe this is a personal fault of mine, but I don’t like to follow exact directions. John recommends to stay away from oDesk and only use his site to find great workers. John on the other hand feels that oDesk is the one contractor site that’s ok to work with.

So I decided that before I go the full time route, that I would go to oDesk and try and find a good candidate with a combination of temp tasks and test tasks. My results have not been encouraging and in fact I’m no longer going to use oDesk to find workers.

My first task was for a Data Entry worker that I needed for an ecommerce site of mine. The first person I hired was too good to be true, they offered to do it for a $1 because the needed the feedback. I figured, well even if they suck, I’m only out the time and a $1. Well I didn’t even get that worth out of it. The person I “hired” took the job and then I never heard from them again. After a week I gave up and fired them. Strike 1…

I hired the next person in line for the job (I actually qualified the candidates with a short test entry). While the person was gung ho from the beginning, it quickly faded. First their Internet connection was “out” for a couple days (although for some reason it was ok to reply to my emails – hrmm…) and then they simply could get the work done on schedule and asked for delay after delay. oDesk has a “work diary” feature that allows you as an employer to see what your workers are doing. It seemed to me that my “worker” was more interested in chatting on Skype than working on my data. After a month of waiting I fired this worker after getting 17% of the entries done (and paying them 25% of the project money). Strike 2 …

At the same time, I had another project for long term link builder for some ecomm properties of mine. After going through a large number of candidates and running through test tasks .. I never felt comfortable with any of them. They just came off cocky to me, and very inflexible. I actually offered 1 guy a full time well paying gig outside of oDesk (as oDesk takes a cut of their money) and he flat out said no thanks .. ok whatever.

My concluding thoughts are this is the problem with dealing with “free agent contractors” vs “employees”.. So the next time I’ll hire somebody it will be the John Jonas way and hire a real employee and not a contractor.

I am interested to see what Dan & Leslie will be suggesting in their Link Liberation program when it comes up. I’m pretty sure they will be recommending mTurk, which I actually used to use a lot awhile ago and had pretty good success with it. My issue with it was that it is really only for small tasks.

Has anyone had any success with oDesk?

Let’s cut to the chase here .. If you want to learn how to get and stay at the top of Free search, Dan and Leslie are the best teachers. They taught me everything I know and use.

No BS, I will be buying into the Link Liberation coaching program today. I want to get access to the new software, and I also want to see what’s new in the program. It’s been awhile since I went through LL 1.0, and frankly I’ve forgotten a lot of the structure (and my rankings have suffered)

So I’m in — are you?

Grab Link Liberation Now

Now the course isn’t for everyone. A lot of people are baulking at the price point which is $297 a month, without discounts. But here are 2 things to consider with the price.

Are you making money every month? Then $297 for Link Liberation is a drop in the bucket.

Are you not making $297 a month? Then you need help or you will not survive.

So how can I help you?

Well if you buy through my Link Liberation affiliate link below, I’ll be your personal contact for help. Since I’m going through the course at the same time as you, I’ll be there to help you personally via email with anything that may be confusing, or if you need some more specific direction. Kind of like a study buddy!

So let’s learn together:

I live and breathe SEO .. because I suck at Paid search. Most of everything I learn – and teach, I’ve learn from both of these guys.

Today has not been a great day so far .. but I wanted to pass along a word of caution along with a must see video if you are in the Internet Marketing niche.

First off is a word of warning… if you are thinking about using cloudflare.com cloud based load balancing system.

First the good: The service is free, and rather easy to setup. It’s well worth a look at if you get a lot of traffic and especially if you are hosted on a shared platform. They will offload and protect your site from “bad” traffic. For me this was important, as I get a lot of “bad” traffic (like forum spam, bad bots, etc) to a couple of my niche sites that were driving up my server costs.

Now the warning: They DON’T support SSL. So if you have an ecommerce site that needs SSL to, I dunno process orders?, then make sure you have your ssl setup already on a sub-domain. (aka ssl.mydomain.com). If it’s setup on the main: mydomain.com you WILL run into major issues.

Now as you may have guessed, I’ve ran smack dab into this issue. I didn’t read the fine print (I mean who does?) and enabled one of my e-commerce sites over to Cloudflare’s DNS. Today I didn’t see any order action, so I checked on the checkout page .. and uh oh. “The Request Cannot Be Completed” .. Yeah that’s not a way to wakup in the morning.

And yes folks this gets worse ….

So after seeing that I couldn’t use Cloudflare for SSL access, I decided that I would just add a new subdomain (ssl.) and use my certificate on there. Of course that doesn’t work as the SSL cert is only tied to the “exact” domain. So ok, no problem since that wasn’t working anyway, I’ll just re-voke the SSL cert from GoDaddy (who I have the cert from), and re-install it on the new ssl.mydomain.com.

Well if anyone of you reading this have done this before, you’ll understand what a mistake this was. Once you revoke a SSL cert you cannot get it back. Thankfully GoDaddy did refund me the 2 years remaining that I had on the cert, but now I’m sitting with no SSL, no SSL cert and a wasted day (and not to mention lost revenue) ..

So what are the takeaways: Pay attention to small print — especially on live projects. IT/Tech stuff sucks .. And let it be known that I’m a tech guy. I maintain my own server and I write my own software, I can’t imagine if you don’t have at least some what of a tech background, what you would do.

The irony is, yesterday I watched my friend Andy Jenkins promo video of Kajabi. Which I recommend that you watch. If you are in the “launch” business or want to produce a membership site of some importance, then this is aimed directly at you. That’s not an affiliate link .. it’s just something that I think may be of interest to my readers. And heck after my day today, it’s of interest to me too.

Kajabi is a great new platform that takes care of the IT stuff so you don’t have to .. and it’s much more. Andy does a great job of covering it in his video, so I won’t attempt to one up him here.. just give it a look and as usually with AJ’s video’s it’s entertaining.
